Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about cooking with Cook's Clock.

What is Cook's Clock?

Cook's Clock is a meal-timing app. Instead of juggling separate timers, you set one serving time and it staggers the start of every component — the roast, the veg, the sauce — so the whole meal is ready together, still hot.

Is Cook's Clock free to use?

Yes. Planning meals and cooking in sync is free. Premium adds AI recipe generation from your ingredients, shopping lists, and a few other conveniences.

How does the timing work?

Add each component with its timed steps, then pick when you want to serve. Cook's Clock works backwards from that moment and tells you exactly when to start each dish so everything finishes at the same time.

What if I only have one oven?

Cook's Clock is kitchen-aware. Tell it the shared kit you own — one oven, four hobs, a steamer — and it paces the plan around the equipment you actually have, flagging any clashes.

Can I import a recipe from a link?

Yes. Paste a recipe URL or paste the recipe text and Cook's Clock will turn it into a timed, multi-component meal plan you can cook straight away. (Recipe import is a Premium feature.)

Can I share a meal with a friend?

Send the whole plan — components, timings and all — to a friend. They open it, set their own serving time, and cook the same meal in sync.

What is a template?

A template is a reusable meal plan. Save a meal you cook often — a Sunday roast, a Christmas dinner — and next time you can start from the template instead of rebuilding it.

Is my data private?

Your meals and components are yours. Only you can see and edit the meals you create. Cook's Clock never shares your plans without you choosing to send them.
